This unique "rural chic" community combines the best of small town living with a contemporary vibe that makes Thorndale a great place to call home.  And people are taking notice!  Young families and retirees alike are making the move to Thorndale.  Thorndale was built by strong community driven groups such as the Thorndale Lions Club, Thorndale Optimist Club, Thorndale and Area Horticultural Society, Thorndale Agricultural Society, Thorndale Masonic Lodge, and the Thorndale Women’s Institute - and these groups remarkably have remained a key driving force in the community.   I Love Thorndale,  a new resident driven community group, fosters collaborations between like minded community residents, long standing service organzation and local  businesses to explore ideas and take action for positive growth in their community.

What's New:

I Love Thorndale may be new but they've made a big impact!  If you're new to town, watch out for the "Welcome Mob" -  a friendly gang of Thorndalians showing up on your doorstep breaking into song while bringing local goodies and a welcome package.

Looking to for things to do?  Check out the I Love Thorndale website for a community  calendar of events; local business directory; sports registration information for Boot Camp, Zumba,  baseball, hockey, and you might even catch a bubble soccer game!

What's traditional:

After 160 years, the Thorndale Fall Fair knows how to put on a show and the whole town is involved!  Complete with competitions, events and a midway - it's not to be missed.   Some new annual events are emerging ... the Christmas Home Tour and the Winter Carnival are popular events following the Thorndale tradition to bringing the entire community together.
